Zayn Malik is collaborating with Versace to create his own clothing collection

The pop star is teaming up with Donatella Versace to create his own Clothing Collection (Zayn X Versus Capsule Collection of Men’s and Women’s Clothing) and all credits goes to his girlfriend Gigi Hadid who introduce the designer to the singer.

The 61-year-old Donatella, who is vice president and chief designer of the label, is a fan of Zayn. 

Talking to the New York Times, Donatella said: 'I met him again when he started to date Gigi, who I work with all the time. And he impressed me very much.'

She hailed the singer saying he 'so mature and thoughtful' and said that he treated his model girlfriend like 'such a gentleman.' 

'They are very nice young people, a lovely couple, in fact. And then he told me how much he loved fashion. It was then I knew he was the right face for what I had in mind. He’s smart to do it with me.'

The Pillow Talk Singer, will also star in the Versus advertising campaigns.
